Company History
Guardian has been operating in the Manawatu and surrounding districts for over twenty years. In 2008 we set up a service in the Hawkes Bay where we now establishing a strong client base who value professional tree care.
We have built a strong reputation as professionals you can trust to deliver a quality service. We offer solutions to all tree related issues.
The company was started in the Manawatu in 1991 by Darryl Judd.

Now we carry an extensive range of 'top of the line' equipment and employ only full time qualified staff. We are able to carry out any tree service required from garden maintenance through to difficult tree removals, fine pruning, council work and landscaping in the Hawkes Bay, Manawatu and surrounding districts.
Darryl trained in the UK at Merrist Wood College and gained N.C.H Arb. with distinction. He holds the Diploma of Arboriculture along with numerous other New Zealand certificates in arboriculture. In the mid 1990s Darryl helped the Industry Training Organisation (NZHITO) to develop the current National Certificate in Arboriculture. He is still involved as an assessor to the industry.
In 2009 Jonas Muller joined Guardian Tree and Landscape Services as a partner in the company. Jonas trained in Switzerland and has over 20 years of experience in the industry. In 1991 he gained a Swiss Diploma in Arboriculture and has attended many seminars and international conferences.
Darryl and Jonas and their staff are all members of the New Zealand and International Arboriculture Association.
We attend industry related seminars and conferences. On going training is a strength to the company and we are quick to identify and implement new techniques and practices adopted by the arboricultural industry.
We are based and operating in the Manawatu and the Hawkes Bay but we also service other regions, including the Tararua, Rangitikei and Horowhenua Districts. We continue to provide and build upon our high quality service.
